About Blockudoku®: Block Puzzle Game

Blockudoku is a block puzzle from the developer Easybrain that combines the ideas of sudoku and classic block games. There is no falling action and no timer. You receive three shapes at a time and place them on a 9 by 9 grid. If you complete a full row, a full column or a 3 by 3 square, the filled cells disappear. The challenge is to keep clearing space for as long as possible, because the game is over once none of your current shapes can be placed.

What makes it interesting
Shapes cannot be rotated, so you need to think about how each piece fits with the ones you have and with the pieces that may come next. The three-by-three squares add a second way to clear the board, which can save you when rows and columns are blocked. Making several clears at once, or clearing something on consecutive moves, builds combos and streaks that increase your score. It is a game where a slow, thoughtful move often beats a fast one.

Practical strategy
Before you place a piece, check whether it will block space your other two pieces need. Try to keep a tidy pattern, filling one area completely before moving to another. Do not leave single empty cells surrounded by filled ones, because they are hard to fill later. When the board starts to fill up, prefer moves that clear something immediately. Look at the three squares of the grid as an extra tool: a shape that finishes a square while also finishing a row is very efficient.

Daily challenges, events and tournaments
Beyond the main mode, the game includes daily challenges, seasonal events and tournaments where your score is compared with other players. These are optional and mostly offer cosmetic rewards, such as trophies and collectible artwork. If you enjoy competition they add replay value, but you can ignore them if you want a peaceful puzzle.

Ads and purchases
The game is free to play and supported by advertising, which may appear between rounds. Easybrain also offers optional purchases that remove ads or provide extras. Because the monetisation changes from time to time, check the current details in the store listing. If you play with children, supervise purchases and consider switching on device-level controls.

Who it suits
It suits adults and teenagers who enjoy logic and spatial puzzles, people who want a calm game for commuting or breaks, and sudoku fans who want something different. It does not require reading or knowing a language, so it is accessible to many players. Those who want story, characters or fast action will probably find it too quiet.

Brain-training claims
Puzzle games are often marketed as brain training. They can be engaging and may help you practise planning, but there is no guarantee they improve intelligence in general. Enjoy it as a hobby rather than a medical or educational tool.

How it compares
It is very close to Woodoku in mechanics, with a cleaner, more minimal look. If you like one, you will probably like the other. If you prefer rotating pieces and increasing speed, classic Tetris will feel more familiar.

Our take
Blockudoku is a simple, well-polished puzzle with a lot of depth. Use the official store link on this page for installation.
